Self-growth to me

Mount Wilson, Australia

Self-growth doesn't mean manifesting the best version of yourself.

Self-growth doesn't mean accepting your flaws.

Self-growth means the ability to listen and embrace. With open heart and mind.

Listen to feedback that you don't like, and embrace that the people around might see you in a way that is not as flattering as you hoped.

Listen to your strengths and weaknesses and embrace that they all play an important role in who you are.

Listen to your journey and embrace the fact that life will always give you something to work on.

Listen to all your vulnerabilities and embrace them with respect and kindness.

Self-growth does not sit in finding answers, but it evolves with the questions you ask and with your acceptance of what comes next. Sometimes your questions have simple answers, sometimes they have answers that will dismantle your whole world. Sometimes there are no answers at all.

Most of all, self-growth resides in listening and embracing, when we deal with others.

Listen to other people's struggles and embrace the fact that they don't always ask for your advice, they don't always want your answers, they don't have your same journey.

Listen to how different we all are and embrace the opportunity to learn from each other, whether we feel like we have figured everything out or not.

Listen and embrace how nature can teach us so many lessons, from resilience, to rebirth, to the beauty that resides in the small things, to the deep connections that link all beings together.

And for as long as I breathe I want to grow, I want to ask questions, I want to listen with open heart and mind, and embrace whatever comes next.
